Seminar on VoIP at Northern University : 16 January 2010 PDF Print E-mail
Northern University invited me to gave a talk on VoIP in their IT week on 16 Jan 2010. Recently Northern University has shifted their science departments at their new Banani campus. It was a coincident that the same building (Sher Tower) was used by North South University and I conducted many courses that there for last two years. Last year North South University moved to Bashundhora campus. My special thanks goes to Dr. Al Amin Bhuiyan to develop this opportunity.

In this talk I discussed about VoIP on the context of Bangladesh. I discussed the following topics:
  • What is VoIP
  • Recent trends of telecommunication sector
  • Voice and Data connectivity of Bangladesh
  • How we are making call in Bangladesh
  • VoIP policy of Bangladesh
  • Bottle-neck of this policy
  • How the policies are resist to embrace the new technology at Bangladesh
  • My proposed model.

Thanks letter to Fall 2009 students- 30 Dec 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Thanks to all the students of ETE405 and ETE411 of this Fall 2009 semester, for helping me to conduct a wonderful semester. It was a great opportunity to meet with you, interact and have discussion with individuals. I learned a lot of things from you and thanks for sharing your ideas with me. I look forward for your suggestions, how I can enrich and improve my courses. Please drop your suggestions and comments at my email.

Beside the course, I tried to introduce you web based communication tools, forums, email communication techniques, assignment writing process, research methodology, IEEE paper format, open source solutions etc., which will be an important part of your near future professional life. I belive that grade or certificate should not be your primary goal, you should focus on: gathering experience, develop professional network, know your interest, discover your professional and personal goal. You are blessed with many dynamic faculties and seniors at NSU and you should utilize these opportunities.
